South Kalamazoo County Fire Authority

The South Kalamazoo County Fire Authority needed a website that could serve residents with clarity while meeting the layered compliance obligations that come with being a local government agency. The site had to handle public meeting notices, minutes, agendas, and organizational documents in a way that was both legally compliant and genuinely usable by citizens of every technical background — something off-the-shelf templates could never quite deliver without major compromises.

We built SKCFA a fully custom WordPress website designed around their real operational needs. The centerpiece was a bespoke WordPress plugin we architected specifically for the Authority — it handles local file storage for meeting minutes, agendas, and public documents; manages upcoming meeting dates and times; and renders everything in a resident-friendly format without requiring staff to wrestle with the CMS. Every page, form, and workflow was built to match how the Authority actually operates day to day.

SKCFA now relies on the site as a core part of how they communicate with the residents they serve. Citizens can find meeting information, public documents, and announcements without friction, and Authority staff publish updates without fighting a clunky admin interface. The work has been recognized beyond the organization itself — SKCFA has referred Warrior Web Co to other local agencies in the area, leading to additional public-sector partnerships across Southwest Michigan.
