Project Story
A transparent look at the problem, our approach, and what we delivered.
Chapter 01
Most salon websites read like template directories — a generic services list, a stock photo carousel, and a contact form. Slate Salon needed something that actually matched the room: a modern, design-forward space where the brand had to do as much work online as it does in person. The site had to feel like walking into the salon, not browsing a phone book.
Chapter 02
We built Slate Salon a custom editorial website designed around atmosphere first and information second. The layout pulls from high-fashion and lifestyle publication design — large imagery, confident typography, generous whitespace, and a restrained palette that lets the salon's own visuals carry the brand. Services, stylists, and booking are integrated into the experience rather than tacked on as utilitarian pages. Every section was built to give the salon a digital presence that matches the level of design they bring to the chair.
Chapter 03
Slate Salon now has a website that looks nothing like the typical salon site — and that's the point. The build is a deliberate showcase of design range, proving that the same studio that builds high-converting contractor and HVAC websites can also deliver editorial, fashion-forward brand work when the project calls for it.
